...badly... but it begins nonetheless!
My eating is still pretty iffy but I decided I had eaten enough to go for a run... this was supposed to be a tempo run at about 8.20-8.30 pace... Total run fail. I skipped the warm up and cool down miles and just went for it as I didn't have my headphones and I'm not good running without headphones, I also took Roxie who puked at the top of the hill... poor Roxie.. I think it was just that she'd eaten something funny off the floor.. I hope I didn't work her too hard anyway! I managed just over my planned 3 miles... only 'cause I was a little bit further than home and figured I might aswell jog it!
3.3 miles 31.31 - I seem to have an odd habit of getting numbers like this.. spooky!
Average pace 9.33
Mile 1 - 9.03
Mile 2 - 10.18 (uphill mile - in case you couldn't guess haha)
Mile 3 - 9.13
0.3 - 2.57 (9.52 pace)
So lack of sleep and poor fuelling = poor run. I knew it was coming so I'm not really disappointed I just hope I can get myself back to normal soon. I'm hoping to run again tomorrow but I'm not sure if I'll be able to as I may have to work late... Wasn't thinking about my run when I agreed to that one!
Anyways, I'm going to keep it short as I'm really tired and not sure I'm making much sense!
Thank you all so much for the supportive comments on my last post, I really appreciated every single one.

i hate uphills miles. at least when i'm looking at splits! hopefully you can get a run in tmrw. and take care lady :)
ReplyDeleteThat's not a bad run at all, particularly when you've been struggling with fuelling!
ReplyDeleteBe careful not to push yourself too hard though, and take care.

Oh poor pup. Though, there have been times when I've gotten to the top of a hill and wanted to puke ;-) So it may not have been the best run for you, but you got it done!
ReplyDeletehope the next run is better!
ReplyDeleteI agree that given sleep and food, that's a good effort. Especially as you've been away from regular running for a while.
ReplyDeleteI'm having a terrible time stress-wise at the moment, which is killing my appetite. I know you come from a different background when it comes to food, and restricting, but could you use the half plan to help you eat a bit better? The reason that I say this is that the only thing keeping my calorie intake up at the moment is the fact that I want to be able to train..
Look after yourself xx
Think positive - everything was against you but you still did it and can put a tick in the 'completed' column.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fab run to me. Up hill for a mile seems like a challenge!
ReplyDeleteHope you start feeling back to 100% soon petal, at least you got out for a run. You take care xx
ReplyDeleteWe all have those bad runs! I was feeling my lunch last week! Hopefully your runs will get better!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon, getting out for a run is always a good thing, they will get better, take care.
